Titanium Dioxide DR-2688

DR-2688 is a rutile titanium dioxide pigment specifically developed for polycarbonate and other engineering plastics. Its alumina-based inorganic treatment and organosilicon surface treatment are designed to improve compatibility with polymer systems and help limit viscosity increase, loss of lightness, yellowing and embrittlement during high-temperature processing.

With high lightness, a bluish undertone, strong tinting performance and good melt-flow behavior, DR-2688 supports the retention of optical appearance and mechanical properties in PC, PC alloys, ABS, PET, PA and related engineering-plastic applications.

Applications

DR-2688 is recommended for polycarbonate and engineering-plastic systems, including:

• Polycarbonate and PC alloys
• ABS, PET and PA engineering plastics
• Engineering-plastic components requiring high lightness and low yellowing
• Compounds requiring stable melt flow and mechanical-property retention
• Selected high-performance polyolefin masterbatch applications
