Titanium Dioxide DR-2589
DR-2589 is a sulfate-process rutile titanium dioxide pigment developed for plastics requiring high outdoor durability. Its dense silica/alumina inorganic surface treatment and organosilicon treatment help reduce unwanted interaction between TiO₂ and polymers or additives while supporting dispersion, processability and low moisture uptake.
With strong opacity, a bluish undertone and good resistance to heat, light and weathering, DR-2589 is designed to maintain the appearance and performance of plastic products exposed to long-term outdoor conditions. It is recommended for outdoor PVC profiles, pipes, sheets and flooring, durable polyolefin products, cable compounds and selected engineering plastics.
Applications
DR-2589 is recommended for outdoor-durable plastic systems, including:
• Rigid and flexible PVC for exterior use
• PVC profiles, pipes, sheets and flooring
• Polyolefin pipes, containers and films
• Cable compounds requiring weatherability and insulation performance
• Polystyrene and selected engineering plastics
