Titanium Dioxide DR-2588
DR-2588 is a sulfate-process rutile titanium dioxide pigment treated with hydrated alumina and an organosilicon compound. Developed for plastics applications, it combines a bluish undertone, high tinting strength and strong hiding power with low oil absorption, low moisture uptake, low volatility at processing temperatures, and good dispersion and processability.
DR-2588 is recommended for masterbatch, engineering plastics, thin plastic films and other applications requiring consistent color performance and stable processing behavior.
Applications
DR-2588 is recommended for a broad range of indoor plastics applications, including:
• Polyolefin masterbatch, especially high-loading white masterbatch
• Thin and super-thin plastic films, including cast film
• Engineering plastics
• Other plastic systems requiring good dispersion and low volatility at processing temperatures
