Titanium Dioxide IR-600
IR-600 is a functional rutile titanium dioxide developed for near-infrared (NIR) reflection in white, light-colored and medium-to-high-lightness coating and plastic systems. It is designed to support high total solar reflectance (TSR) and NIR reflectance while maintaining the appearance of high-lightness formulations.
Its dense silica/alumina surface treatment supports weatherability, formulation compatibility and long-term stability in demanding exterior applications. IR-600 is recommended for solar-reflective architectural coatings, exterior walls, roofs, light-colored industrial coatings and plastic formulations requiring passive solar heat management.
IR-600 should be evaluated as an infrared-reflective functional component within the complete formulation. For low-lightness, dark or wide color-gamut systems, IR-1000 should be evaluated first.
