G-200: Proven Performance in Recent DLE TEST with Tibetan Brine Sample

Recent DLE TEST. Since G-200’s launch, feedback has been very positive. It has attracted new users and those mixing it with older G-100. Due to confidentiality, most test data remains private. This time, we used brine from Lagocuo Salt Lake in Tibet for a DLE test. The results show G-200’s strong performance and offer valuable insights.

The cation composition of the brine used in the experiment is as follows:

Conditions

The DLE TEST was designed with a 150 ml bed volume and a filling weight of 76.52 g, allowing geothermal brine to flow through at a rate of 6 BV/h. The brine density was kept at 1.04 g/ml, and the temperature was set at 24°C room temperature.

The treatment volume increased over several stages. Adsorption time extended from 10 to 300 minutes. As brine passed through G-200, we tracked lithium adsorption at each stage. Key metrics included lithium concentration, adsorption capacity, and recovery rate.

Results

The Permeation Curve chat above shows the relationship between the lithium (Li) concentration in the brine (ppm) and the flow (BV) over the course of the experiment in DLE TEST.

  • X-axis (Flow, BV) represents the flow of the brine in Bed Volumes (BV), indicating the cumulative amount of brine passed through the material during the test.
  • Y-axis (Li Concentration, ppm) shows the concentration of lithium in the brine at each stage, measured in parts per million (ppm).

The curve shows lithium concentration rising as brine flows through G-200. At first, the rise is slow at low flow rates. This suggests G-200 is efficiently capturing lithium. As more brine flows, lithium levels rise faster. This indicates G-200 is approaching its adsorption capacity.

This chart shows the relationship between the stage recovery rate of the test material (G-200) and the flow (BV) in DLE TEST.

  • X-axis (Flow, BV)represents the cumulative flow of brine, measured in Bed Volumes (BV), indicating the total amount of brine that has passed through the material at each stage.
  • Y-axis (Stage Recovery, %) shows the recovery rate of the material at each stage, expressed as a percentage.

At low flow rates, recovery is nearly 100%. This shows G-200 adsorbs lithium very efficiently. As flow increases, more brine passes through. G-200 begins to saturate, and the recovery rate gradually drops.

This chart shows how the cumulative mass adsorption capacity changes as the flow (BV) increases in DLE TEST.

  • X-axis (Flow, BV)represents the total amount of brine that has passed through the G-200 material during the test, measured in Bed Volumes (BV).
  • Y-axis (Adsorption, mg/g) shows the cumulative mass adsorption capacity, which tells us how much lithium has been adsorbed by the material per gram.

As flow increases, adsorption capacity also rises. At 10 BV, it’s about 2.5 mg/g. By 30 BV, it reaches 9.66 mg/g. This trend shows G-200 improves lithium adsorption as it processes more brine.

This chart illustrates the cumulative volume adsorption capacity as a function of flow (BV) in DLE TEST.

  • X-axis (Flow, BV) represents the cumulative flow of brine, measured in Bed Volumes (BV), indicating the total amount of brine that has passed through the material.
  • Y-axis (Adsorption, g/L) shows the cumulative volume adsorption capacity, expressed in grams per liter (g/L), which indicates how much lithium has been adsorbed by the material relative to the volume of brine.

Conclusion

As the flow increases, the cumulative volume adsorption capacity steadily rises. For instance, at 10 BV, the capacity is around 2.39 g/L, and by 30 BV, it reaches 4.93 g/L. This pattern shows that the material continues to adsorb lithium as more brine passes through, demonstrating G-200’s growing efficiency in lithium capture over time.

As the test progressed, lithium concentration increased. Adsorption capacity rose steadily, showing G-200’s strong lithium capture. Each stage gave useful insight into performance over time. Both mass and volume capacities kept rising, proving growing efficiency.
